"Gearshift",is an educational activity organised by the Drivers Mutual Foundation. It aims to foster awareness among young people aged between 14 and 18 years about the causes of road accidents and their consequences, encouraging responsible behaviour and an attitude of self-protection.
The activity is based on a phone call between two sisters, in which one witnesses a road accident while driving to the disco. The story also includes informative videos and eyewitness accounts provided a policeman, a fireman and a member of the Emergency Medical System (SEM). There are also testimonies given by people suffering a road accident and a close relative to show how accidents affect those closest to the victims.
